  1. Mike you take the best coach in your own eyes not what you think. Wait until you see his offensive hires before you judge. Fields is a mud pack QB at best .Just to show how good urban Meyer was as a qb guy. He chose fiends over Burrow

  2. Instant hot seat HC. pete that was a sly way to say what everyone expected. Lol
As much as I would love to be a hc this might be one job that is passed on and stay poor over. Lol

  3. Mike..dawg..you’ve stated a lot of obvious facts here. Literally everyone understands that these hires are a 50/50 shot, that’s what ANY hire is, football or not lmao but to think that the Bears need to hire someone primarily based off of one player is a bit wild. A QB plays a majorly important role in the game and I hope our OC will help mold Fields into a stud. And if he does and then OC goes and gets a HC job…guess what? Fields is a stud still. Taking away one OC after someone is a stud isn’t going to instantly turn the player to crap.

  4. Well you’re forgetting the key factor which is Justin Fields. If the OC is in fact a “perfect match” with Eberflus, by design Fields should be progressing and be able to evolve and upgrade his game. Allowing him to actually add to his arsenal if another OC does come along.

  5. What they were talking about is very true. I remember when Kordell Stewart was in Pittsburgh and Chan Gailey was the OC and left for the Dallas gig, Stewart was never the same. I hope Coach Ebs is 2 steps ahead of the game and has 2 guys ready to take over if the OC leaves.

  6. Lets just see how this goes, the one thing that we can offer a good/great OC is that they can call the play, that they can practically be the head coach minus the title. lets see how the pieces develop

  7. If you got this "star" qb; you want to build around the qb. You want to have a coach that is going to do the best for that side of the ball. You don't get a Def. HC and expect him to focus on the qb. That Def. HC is going to focus on the Defense.
Like Mike said if you leave it up to the Offensive Coordinator; if he succeeds, he's going to leave for a HC spot and we're hunting for another OC again.
