  1. Nowadays football is about the result. There are almost no beautiful skills on the pitch, the game is very pragmatic. Also, every player has his own specific role like in companies. If you are a salesman of cars you don't have to know how a car works technically. Same with Haaland, he has his own role – he does not have to be an excellent playmaker or dribller . Instead, he is a very good finisher.

  2. Halaand is an average player! He is one of the reasons Manchester City are struggling. Another reason is Grealish, another average player. Another one is the lack of a mobile skillful left back….

  3. Remember that Guardiola is Haaland's coach before anything else, so Pep has to score brownie points with Haaland in the press conference in order to be able to demand stuff from him in the training sessions and matches.

  4. Pep is absolutely correct. It's a shame the former players who are pundits, make a living criticising today's players. They made the same mistakes. We are all human… The former players need to be more constructive than distructive.

  5. Nah, the journalist took the comment out of context there. Fantastic, world-class striker, but he isn't a link up player. He hits the ball in the net incredibly well, but he's not a good all round footballer.

  6. Don't think Roy gave a shaiit about what the pundits were to say on his performance. He knew if he had well performed or not. The rest is blabla…

  7. Haaland's job is to score goals, and he's scored more than anyone else this season. He's also got the same number of assists as many of the top midfielders. His general stats such as touches and number of passes might be lower than average by some margin, but surely that's partly down to his focus on getting into goalscoring positions, which is his job and which he is doing better than anyone else.

  8. Haaland has greatness in him and but also has his shortcomings. He will never be a perfect all around player. That will be the biggest test for Pep as he is accustomed to work with all around talents like Eto'o, Villa, Lewa, Aguero

  9. I don't understand why someone people have zero knowledge, just like pep said some people don't know what it takes to play 90min until they are on the pitch. Not just being on the pitch but being on the pitch and playing well for full 90min maybe more. Is hard their heart rate is off the roof, their balls and whole body dripping with sweat, it's really hard. Some have trophies to show for. for eg, Messi and Ronaldo are two of the most decorative player in football history but even them could testify that they could not have won what they have won by themselves only. and some don't have those trophies to show for, but when you see them play you will know that they're good. The reason why I'm saying all this trash is because some people think that football is just a walk around the park. Some people in the comment section are saying that city are better off with a false9 but I remember people were complaining that city's football was boring because they did not have a striker. And stats have shown that city two seasons ago had more ball possession and less attacking threat compared to this season thanks to Halland contribution city had less possession and more attacking threat. So if that does not tell you the contribution the guy has had at city then I don't know what will, Is there a room for improvement for Halland definitely but he does not make city weak he makes them terrifying because when City have the ball they go straight for attack because they know that they've got player up front to score goals or try at least. And that's him playing his part at City. Maybe we will see more from him other clubs but for City that's the way he is being played. And it works they could not have won a treble if not for him playing little part in the game because some of you are saying that he doesn't deliver in big games he delivers in little games games but tend to forget that those little game leads to big games. I know everybody's got their own opinion and that's fine by me. But don't criticize him just because he is not doing great this season let's not forget he was the runner-up last season for the Ballon d'Or. So he might be having a bad season according to some people because are don't really see the reason for him to be criticized really, City are still in the premiere league title challenge, semi final in the FA cup, top goal scorer in the league, so I don't really know what is wrong with the guy, some people are just mad because he is scoring more goals with less touches unlike other strikers that should not mean that he is a bad player just because he does not do too much on the ball but still manage to score goal should not make him any less of a player. Just because he has not managed to score so goals on Premier League top clubs should not mean you should be coming at him. But just like some Christian say not every day is Christmas.😊
