I'd actually be happy if the NFL went flag, then it'd open the door for another league to replace it. Send the NFL to the WNBA realm
Didn’t know a RB2 is a star💀
NFL is so trash now
So now there’s another about 99% subjective penalty that can help the refs determine outcomes.
Just means bet on offense😂😂
I have seen a break a few legs, but I also feel like the ref are going to screw this up so bad
Though I am not a fan all these new rules, the hip drop is a concerted effort by smaller defenders to turn their bodies and land on offensive players legs to bring them down. The play should be reviewable, IMO.
Alright boys pack your bags. We are heading to hockey
NFL going worldwide…. Basically I’m calling them pussies
Sounds painful
I hear this new football league seems very exciting
Just sounds like something they're using to rig games when they need to.
I would laugh but we're paying people millions of dollars to play a game we played in elementary school at this point, if they keep making it softer, then make it more difficult to make money, because you're practically just handing money away, make it performance based, if you don't love up to this then your pay gets cut.
It's just starting to become retarded, it was doable when defense could actually play defense and not patty cake
You know, football players understand the potential consequences of playing football. Have them sign a waiver, which they’re probably already doing, and play the damn game of football. This stuff blows my mind
If I’m a DB in the NFL, you best believe I’m trying to take reps at WR in training camp
Let's be real. They don't even know what the tackle is. This is just to give them more control of a game.
They should strike to abort this new rule and have turf fields since they say they care about players safety.
If the NFL really wanted to prevent injuries they'd rule that every stadium needs to switch to grass within X number of years.
You can look up what a hip drop tackle is, the NRL put out a really informative video when they banned it that clearly shows what defines a hip drop tackle
Fabric retrieval
Low impact
Abandon all contact
Game system
😮
Next year they're just banning sacks entirely
You can't touch the quarterback until they've crossed the line of scrimmage or it's a targeting penalty
In layman's terms it's any tackle…………………………………😂
The rule isnt the problem. The problem is going to be the enforcement. So many tackles look like one but aren't.
Is this video saying its okay that the players get seriously injured for life because its a contact sport
"They are making the game soft!"
Tackling is about inflicting violence on the ball carrier, not dragging him like the children in Little Giants.
We like watching Mike Alsott and Earl Campbell run through defenders. Don't act like this is something new.
NFL defenses have intentionally gotten lighter. Strong Safties are now playing MLB. 49ers Fred Warner is literally the same size as prime John Lynch.
Linebackers of old, like Levand Kickland and players with that body type are being asked more and more to play 3 technique Defensive Tackle [not nose tackle].
So, when team go spread and fast and light, defenses go light to match, so strong runners take advantage. It's football kiddos.
