  1. Everton's punishment as far as I, and all the teams who got relegated as they BENEFITTED from their wrongdoing, is too lenient imho, but, saying that, a bar has now been set, a precedent.

There are two other clubs in the league who are now getting "squeaky bum time", about 4 months early, I reckon!😉😡

  2. Points being taken is the only way the clubs will listen. Any financial punishment just doesn’t do anything. I just hope Man City & Chelsea get more than that or relegated straight off & other clubs should watch carefully & learn from this.

  3. Football has been dying before our eyes for years. If it continues I say boycott the Prem and support your local (most people casually support their local but I mean proper support them)

  4. In my opinion the biggest issue is the timing of the punishment.
The breaches occurred in previous seasons. Now, perhaps benefiting from any overspending Everton are in a better position where they can afford a points deduction.

Its a similar situation with Man City. Announcing record turnover figures and being financially sustainable as an entity is all good but how did they get there… nothing has come out of the enquiries to the alleged 100+ breaches yet… but just say they were found guilty what would be a a fair punishment…

  5. It is not excessive, if you break financial fair play rules you should be punished. Now they need to punish Man City and Chelsea and come down a lot harder

  6. As long as EVERY SINGLE CLUB is treated the same, I've no issue with this. Everton are lucky this is happening now. Everton will have no problems staying up, because the teams at the bottom are light years away from being Prem' standard.

When people are showing sympathy for Everton, let's not forget about the clubs relegated while Everton broke the rules.

  7. If they are going to do this to Everton then the next are Chelsea and Man City which can only be good for Liverpool. Feel sorry for Everton though and I hope it's more to with Loan repayments rather cynical breaches.

  8. City are going to be playing Sunday League. If its -10 points per charge. 😂
Also Everton should be grateful they're getting the deduction in the one season in at least half a dozen that they will likely stay-up.

  9. "Man United’s stance is that they were penalised because of unforeseen changes in how UEFA treat the losses and were unable to adjust for €47m of Covid losses during the 2022 monitoring period." They were fined £300,000, Everton 10 points deduction for a relatively similar issue 😮

  10. Unfortunately they broke the rules and so punishment has to happen. I thought 10 points was actually a bit lenient and I would have expected more. I don't necessarily agree with deducting points when a club goes into administration, depending on the circumstances around how they got to that point, but in this situation where a club has broken the rules etc then I have no sympathy. I sincerely hope that City get a much bigger punishment! They deserve to be made an example of! They have bought all their success.

  11. “We’ve never seen this level of sanction before” … same with oumar niasse being banned for diving – first of its kind. Never happened again. Definitely an agenda against us

  12. I'm a city fan and we've done litraaly FFP war crimes and we wern't given a point reduction and a miracle were still in the league in gernal. but one FFP law broken and a 10 point reduction is madness
