   Chelsea had already done the groundwork on both Caicedo & Lavia and their agents had no intention of doing business with Liverpool.
   Liverpool panicked with a 12-midnight deadline bid for Caicedo after a call with Caicedo agent on Thursday the 10th in which it was confirmed that Chelsea hadn't bid so Liverpool re-grouped and placed a bid just before midnight of 111 Million. Friday the 11th Caicedo and his team on the blower to Chelsea ( whats going on ) Chelsea reply dont worry we have this in hand.
   Meanwhile, Liverpool knew as early as lunchtime on the 11th they were not getting Caicedo.
   A decision was made on the eve of the Chelsea v Liverpool game that FSG would go back to Southampton with an overpriced bid for Lavia but little did Liverpool know Chelsea had already stepped up work on Lavia since early August.
   15th of August Caicedo is a Chelsea Player , Looks like Lavia too.

People talking about midfield but what about defence. Van Dijk has been shite for two years now. And he is now captain 😂. I was hoping some Arab team would have made a crazy offer for him, Nunez same story seems like a work in progress but we could be waiting a decade or so lol. I don’t understand how Man City paid what they did for haaland and what we paid for Nunez because in my opinion he has not technical ability. Get a good defender or two and a solid attacking midfield.
