  1. I think Nev talks a lot of sense but it's really frustrating hearing him talking on behalf of all fans. There are a lot of people that believe the game is being spoilt by time wasting, and that includes players taking 1-2 minutes to do choreographed dances after every goal.

  2. The solution to the '30 second' rule where a player has to stay off the pitch and possibly disadvantaging the fouled player, is just to make sure the player who was responsible for the foul stays off with the injured player for the same 30 seconds

  3. This is the worst way to handle people stalling the game ,you can just book them with yellow /red cards and it will stop so quickly ,PGMOL and FA are so bad i cant believe they get paid

  4. Neville is backing the wrong horse here, he thinks he's with the majority
Webb is right, sometimes you need drastic action to quell a negative trend and bring things to a comfortable plateau

  5. I don't agree with all of Webb's positions but I think refereeing is in a better place in this country with him in charge. Fair play to him to come out to defend the rule changes in so much depth.

Hopefully they do find ways to refine some of these rules though – I don't think the added time will be enough of a deterrent for teams like Newcastle to disrupt the flow of the game, it'll just mean we have to endure an additional 5 minutes of Newcastle's brand of football every week. Also agree that the veiled punishment for getting physio treatment will mean a lot of players catch strays.

  6. Gary has no composure when he's talking. He made is point about the 30 second rule. Next step should be – listen to the answer, listen to Jamie's response, think about both and then aim to identify which areas are common ground and which points are left.

Just saying the same thing over and over when someone else is giving varied responses to try and explain is so annoying to watch.

  7. so right out of the gate….their two priority focus areas are the wrong things to focus on. 1) shouldn't be a new focus on conduct on the sidelines. Its NOW a focus b/c your refs have not been following the existing rules. In other words, you suck at enforcing conduct rules. And to add to this..who cares. Why focus on this when it ZERO impact on improving the match. 2) Time wasting is just that…another waste of time to focus on it. Again, if your refs would have already been following the rules they would be handing out yellow cards and red cards for time wasting. So instead of enforcing existing rules, you've now made it more difficult on your refs to add more time instead of giving yellow/reds. No mention of improving VAR, improving rules around BS handball calls. Just gonna focus on useless garbage. Looking forwards to Howard Webb and company fing up another EPL season.
