  1. If he really wants Champions League football then he should probably go out on loan for a season. A loan move wherein the wages would be split will probably open up more offers for him. Other than that it’s clear no top club wants to really cash in on him.

  2. The hypocrisy of “big money football” baffles me. The bloke (and agent) is using his status to hold Man Utd to ransom- the team he is CONTRACTED to. If he wanted to be loaned or released if Champions League football was not secured, then that should have been a clause in the contract that he signed. Clearly it wasn’t. Therefore, he has to fulfil that contract. Without meaning to sound too “Roy Keane” and stating the obvious – he’s the highest paid player but he refuses to join the preseason tour for “family issues”, whilst meanwhile continuing to post pictures of his family holidays on Instagram, doing his own training, and pushing for a move away. It’s a disgrace, and if it was any other player there would be unanimous outrage! I don’t care who he is, nobody “earns the right” to act with such disrespect

  3. Ronaldo is getting too big , trying to exert too much control. I think its going to be difficult for him to find a suitable club for him in the next few years. You could never see him fitting in in a club like Man City where you have to heed to the Manager or you're out.

  4. Some issues club who sign CR7 is going to face

    1) High wage
    2) Someone has to give up their no.7
    3) Doesn't press much
    4) Can't play every match
    5) Cares more about personal glory than team harmony

  5. As a long time RM fan, I would be happy for him if he succeeds at United this season. He needs to play as a team player though, willing to accept whatever the coach asks. He certainly should not return to RM. that chapter is closed.

  6. Let Cristiano leave, he clearly doesn't want to be here.

The moment he didn't show up for preseason training with the rest of his teammates to enjoy his personal vacation time with his family, is the moment he should be let go. ETH should be leading by example here to push him away from the club.

As per Alex Ferguson on what he said to David Beckham, "The minute a Manchester United player thought he was bigger than the manager, he had to go," he wrote in his book. "David thought he was bigger than Alex Ferguson."

Ferguson also said he had concerns about Beckham's celebrity lifestyle, following the player's marriage to Victoria Adams, a member of the pop group the Spice Girls.

"David was the only player I managed who chose to be famous, who made it his mission to be known outside the game," wrote Ferguson. "I felt uncomfortable with the celebrity aspect of his life."

It's the same with Cristiano. No player is bigger than the team. Both the team, the players, and the managers should be responsible in cutting out behaviour like this. It doesn't matter how much money a player makes for "the brand", because it's only temporary. He won't be the one at the club from 2-3 years time, it will be the team that we set to build from here on. It's time to change the fundamentals.

    Dear Cristiano,
This is not your holiday club. You are here to do a job in which you are being paid millions to do. Yes, you are a great player. You can still score more goals than anyone else in the team if and when you show up. But, there is always a team behind you. It's never 1v11. If you want to make sure a team builds better around you, stop taking your own vacations and actually show the rest that you are a core part of a team that wants to work together and build a team, United.

Otherwise, leave. Don't drag on these unnecessary dramas of whether you want to stay or go.
