  1. I mostly agree with this proposal. The aspect I disagree with is casting aspersions at his salary for 2022, AS IF…it was arranged as a means to avoid paying a penalty. It wasn’t. All contracts are reconstructed that way. It is a salary cap strategy. The strategy is designed to benefit the TEAM, not the player. This strategy implies otherwise. I would not accept that sort of concession myself, and I would not advise any client to do so either. His 2022 salary number is unrelated to anything he is alleged to have done, and that needs to be respected by the NFL.

  2. everything was right except for 6-8 games this year. 1 year is enough. Either you accept him back into the league or you don't. taking two years would be draconian. None of this is a criminal matter and its quite pathetic as a matter of fact.

  3. He needs to be suspended for 1 year for his inexcusable conduct. Don’t count the previous suspension as time served. I do think that if he has to pay a fine of some sort then it should be more than 10 million dollars ?.

  4. it's not a horrible solution, many of these rich owners get away with everything. If this goes through then DeSean pays 10 million back to Houston and another 10 million or so to the claimants + lawyers fees.

I would say I want to see the results of the NFL investigation into DeSean's case but only if I can see the results of the NFL investigation into Daniel Snyder's case.

In the end, DeSean is probably a dumb young man but Dan Snyder is a total scumbag along with Robert Kraft and several other NFL owners.

  5. So you want to reward him for deciding that he didn't want to honor his contract by sitting out a year by using that as a year served? This is the worst idea i have heard if you are actually serious about it…

  6. This is ridiculous. He decided not to play last year. He’s a predator. Suspend him indefinitely and let him reapply for admission once the cases are settled and the statute of limitations have passed.

  7. Mike, do you think it’s a bit…transparent, for lack of a better term, they scheudled Cleveland Miami Week in 10 and Houston Week 13. Would be absolutely pathetic if they suspend him 8 games and he magically has the Week 9 bye to prepare for Miami

  8. If they take last year into consideration and count that then the nflpa has the right to say he served his year suspension.. you can't ask for a year and then count last year with the fine and add 6-8 games.. which actually means he'll make 35.5 million this year cause he'll get to keep his signing bonus of 45 million he got plus a half of year pay at his base salary minus the 10 million fine.. if that's the case then he served his time..I don't think that's a fair punishment cause he didn't want to play for Houston last year anyways.. and he just got 45 million to sign so if you add up the true penalty then it's 6-8 games and a 35.5 million salary for this year.. now I can see them doing this just to avoid the whole appeal scenario in which Goodell can't win whatever he decided anyways but if you ask me if it's fair..I say no. But again life isn't fair and I can see this 100% happening.. and Watson plays at Miami in week 10 and Houston after that in week 13.. no way the league wants him suspended for that or they wouldn't have scheduled those games that late in the year

  9. Yes that would be reasonable. However the fine should be proportionate to Dan Snyder and Robert Krafts fines. Dan Snyder paid 10 million which is what….10% of his annual pay?
