  1. No other player in Premier League history has played up front in the league more times than Emile Heskey – over 500 appearances. More than Shearer, Henry, or any other world class striker that has blessed the league. That stat says all you need to know about his qualities.
Also, having watched him for years at Leicester, I hardly ever saw him lose an aerial duel with a defender – he literally won every header.

  2. All these wonderful comments about Heskey. Can't recall people being so nice when he was playing. Never feared him. Above average prem talent. Played on good Liverpool teams

  3. I think this guy was criminally underrated even Rooney has said out of all the England striking partners he preferred Heskey, he brought the midfielders/wingers forward and made the whole team play better

  4. Lord heskey underrated player made others like owen profit off his hold up play( from whatever highlights of classic matches I have seen) . 100+ pl goals too when in his prime. Seems like a genuinely good guy too. Trolls too harsh? Easily better than other trolled strikers who are genuinely bad nowdays like bendtner sanogo even till recently Balotelli.

  5. When people ask me about Liverpool legends I always shout out Heskey, the first season I'd fully watched growing up was either Owen or Heskey scoring every weekend
