  1. Must be a slow offseason. Talk about a non-story and reading something into nothing. Checkdown Teddy is an unexciting backup, but his character is solid and his answer was professional.

  2. I was initially excited about having Teddy
as a back up. But after watching him play – outside of one game – I’m not impressed. Other than being a big body that can extend some plays

  3. Teddy Bridgewater has been nothing short of professional since the day he stepped foot into the league. I like and respect Chris Simms football acumen a lot, however his reaction towards Bridgewater's comments wreak of, "Black man doesn't say what White man wants. White man takes exception." Bridgewater's comments were nothing controversial or detrimental to the TEAM. Who knows what was said in his meeting with the coaching staff/front office? And him choosing to not address it openly is out of respect for the organization more so than anything.

Is Tua the starter ? Yes — as of now. But we all know there are varying levels/types of starting QBs in the league. Josh Allen is a starting QB, at the least for the next 4-5 years with the Bills and likely more — barring a bizarre situation.

Tua is a starting QB, but he also may only be so for first 4-5 weeks for the Miami Dolphins, before it may be his last starting QB job in the league. Not saying it is likely or I would like for it to happen, but that's just facts over feelings.

I also find it funny how Simms referred to Bridgewater as a "politician". If anything Simms career reflects that of a politician. Follows father's career as a NFL QB and now into becoming a sports analyst, when we all know Phil had plenty of influence in helping him secure both jobs that were beyond Chris' actual ability to do either well.

If Bridgewater is a "politician" I believe Simms is upset at him being a better one than he was, in addition to having been/being a better NFL QB. And he'd likely be just as good if not better as analyst.

That's my two cents on the take.

  4. Teddy Bridgewater will be the started by the end of the year..Tua CANNOT Play in the NFL physically….his weak arm cannot overcome his small size, which cannot be saved by his slow legs, meaning his proneness to injury will always be a factor

  5. I think Simms actually has a point here. Bridgewater did just open up the narrative that he’s not here to be a backup. Could create a lot of negative press in the future..

  6. wish Chris had this same energy when talking about kyle overrated Shanahan. But whatever, gotta pay the bills somehow with hating on a dude who is not even worried about him.

  7. Phil Simms Is A Joke With His Assumptions, Tua & Teddy Will Be Fine Together Even If The Roles Flipped. The Dolphins Made An Fabulous Business Move Being In A Professional Athlete To They’re Club…”

  8. Teddy Bridgewater poses ZERO threat to Tua and the starting job. He's been on 6 teams in 8 years. Teddy Bridgewater is not an NFL starting QB. I wish someone would please tell him that because he's delusional. He's nearly been on as many teams as Ryan Fitzpatrick and this is only his 8th season. So PLEASE spare the football universe with Teddy Bridgewater starting again talk Repeat after me….Teddy Bridgewater is a backup. PASS IT ON.

  9. Why the hate for no reason???!
If you know the character for Teddy he is a team supportive. Teddy ? will be a loving supporter of Tua. Total team guy. It's up to Tua to loose the job. No one wants that.
    Stop hating…
    No one's hates Teddy!!!!

  10. He said it was unique because Miami is his hometown and he's aware he's running outta time. Right he's a competitor that's eating his pride and accepting lesser role. Simms used to be one of my favorite media guys. Y'all got this one wrong. Head coach said everyone has been informed of their roles. They went as negative as possible.
