  1. ALSO LEBRON is a player that comes around once every 20 years so thats an outlier like brady and TRUST ME THEY GET THEIR MONEY OFF THE COURT/FIELD LOL…. When your that great then you have money being thrown at you. If you took Lebron and said look at the NBAs history with and without minimums, maxes, bird rights and a soft salary cap… what was it? Oh just big market teams being able to win… now THE EAST and WEST are the most even they have been. For the health of the game a soft salary cap saved the NBA… WHY DO YOU THINK PEOPLE LOVE THE NFL? It has so much parity. Yes the lions haven’t won But you know what? The way they are rebuilding right now… just watch what happens in about 3 years lol they are doing it the right way for once

  2. THATS WHY YOU HAVE HARD AND SOFT SALARY CAPS!!!!! I dont think hard salary caps are a good idea but Soft salary caps makes it fair but then you pay a tax to go over IF you think you can win and that money that is taxed goes around. That is what the NBA does.. That is good. Thats why soccer sucks because there is no salary cap and some teams.. YOUR TALKING ABOUT THE LIONS NOT MAKING the playoffs there is teams that haven’t had a winning season in soccer in over 100 years gtfo.. lol

  3. The myth that a salary cap creates a fair playing field is hilarious. In baseball big market teams are competitive of course, but that's because they're copying what the elite smaller market teams are doing and for a long time they were having trouble keeping up. The Rays, Indians, Athletics and for a while the Royals set the blueprint on how baseball is played today. Lots of walks, valuing homers, spending a ton of money on analytics and coaches that implement the analytics, building super bullpens, etc. Baseball is the ultimate sport of if you have great management and great coaching you will win. The Rays are the competitive year in and year out because they build elite farm systems and they have some of the best player development and analytics in baseball.

  4. Chris is right. In baseball you fail way more than you succeed. That’s not the case for basketball. If there were no cap in basketball you’d have the avengers vs the justice league every year for a decade.

  5. Think About It: NIL closes the books on a lot of FBI cases that millions of $ were spent to prosecute illegal activity of big time coaches and colleges activities. Recognize the game.

  6. Do we want fair play or not? If so, have the rich boosters from the big schools throw money into a NCAA pool and every team gets the same amount. Yeah, the rich boosters are essentially welfare for the HCBU and small schools. Then every team can't spend more than a certain amount on players per year. Bam !

Say the team limit is 10 million per team. You want to throw 10 mil at one player, go for it. Or, throw 1 million at ten guys … Up to the schools.

  7. Rob can be so ignorant. They have a cap so they can regulate fairness, not Bessie they want to cap what a kid can make. Typical of rob tho, I see his dumb line of thinking.

  8. Players should get a free college education as long as they can stay healthy and a free lunch and dinner ticket while on the team during the actual football season and nothing more, Coaches are coaches ipso-facto a job and are being paid what they deserve to be as adults with a pre-written and agreed upon contract NOT a contract that is being to be MADE and given to a player who is already getting a free education, food and free living expenses. You can pass a law to pay homeless people for being homeless and call it a human check for their benefit but in the end it doesn't make it right, fair or legit especially if they are already gaining free education, living expenses and food. Pathetic.
