  1. Had less to do with having Bradshaw but instead rumors Marino was a marijuana user. This was the anti drug, war on drugs early 80s, especially normal street drugs, harmless marijuana.

  2. Am I the only one who gets extremely nervous when a qb is chosen in the first round if you aren't picking 1st? If Pickett doesnt start week 1 what was the point in selecting him? He will be what, 26 27 years old if he takes the field at the end of Trubisky contract in a couple years? Wasted pick imo. Should've gotten a Center

  3. Pat McAfee put it best — if Pittsburgh DIDN'T take Pickett, that was a huge red flag for every other team. It's very promising that they took him & didn't expect him to be there.

  4. Same experts had Pickett at number 6 to Carolina, but now it`s a bad pick.
The argument now is, all the other team pass on him, nobody want him…Same as Brady, Mahomes or Josh Allen.

  5. the problem is that steelers have Trubisky and there is no argument that someone could honestly say pickett will be better than mitch. Steelers should have drafted someone else or drafted down and get a QB in 23 or 24

  6. I think there’s two reasons: 1) this QB class wasn’t that great; all the top few guys seem like projects, and 2) the QB position in the NFL is as deep as I’ve seen it in a long time. Almost every team either has their guy or someone they feel could be their guy.

  7. I love how they like to make up this left door right door narrative, hope and dreams garbage like they have any clue what the Steelers or Kenny Pickett are thinking. Kenny Pickett wasn't a great option, but was the best option this year. It must be hard making up a bunch of nonsense to talk about every day.

  8. There wasn’t a franchise caliber QB in that whole draft class. Pittsburgh isn’t going to know afc championship games with freaking Kenny Pickett. Reality has to set in sometime. Feel good stories quickly fade when expectations aren’t met

  9. This is a copy cat league, Pickett like Jones last year is the most pro ready. Arguably the Steelers have a better team than the Pats who made the playoffs. The team is ready now, Tomlin like Belicheck is an excellent coach, and does not want to spend 2 years developing a QB. Win now, like the last two super bowl champs the Bucs and the Rams. I am not a Steelers fan but I do know that team only needs a solid QB to be dangerous.

  10. This is a case where analysts cannot admit they were wrong about Malik Willis. Someone else has to be wrong too. It can’t be that 32 organizations all decided Malik wasn’t worth a first or second round pick. It must be that the entire quarterback class was bad and the Steelers reached. These people can’t see the forest for the trees.

  11. These guys keep tryna bank on potential they gonna end up broke. I’ll bank on the more sure option especially in a draft where there’s not a lot of qbs being taken

  12. I think that Pittsburgh had a much better idea of who Kenny Pickett is as a person and a player on the day-to-day than any other NFL team.

If I was employed by another team and I saw Pickett be passed up by the Steelers I would wonder what it is that they know about Pickett that my organization doesn't know, for them to pass on him.
