  1. Josh Allen would've been a bust if the Browns had drafted him. The Bills had just made the playoffs with Tyrod Taylor, they were built to be able to take a raw QB and not ruin him. Just like Lamar going to baltimore. If he had gone to Browns, or Jets, or Cards he would've been a terrelle pryor. These types of hindsight conversations never make sense.

  2. florio foolish idea of no draft has a giant hole. all the good players would sign with the best team, making them better and better every year. draft is needed to fill bottom teams with top talent. bills were bottom feeders for years, and are now a top team. it's possible to turn your franchise around with good owner/gm/coach combo. florio is a fool.

  3. People ahould be able to pick coming out of college. ARE YOU DUMB!!!!? WELL lets just take the salary cap out and let all the BIG CITY TEAMS get all the players. NO DRAFT. that man is crazy, the WORST TAKE of your career

  4. As a new giants fan I heard the rumblings that the New York giants wanted to take Barkley at 2 overall and I remember saying months before this draft took place that would be the worst player for them, because are needs was obviously O-linemen and QB like they are right now, I remember saying take Nelson 2th overall. Because even me just a normal fan of the football ? knows that if ur gonna take a running back 2th overall he better be the greatest HB of all time especially when you have a no offensive line or QB. When they could’ve got Nelson or Josh Allen both HOF players.

  5. If there was no draft, every player coming out of college would only sign with an LA team, a NY team, Miami, Or Dallas. You would destroy any small market team’s chances of being competitive.

  6. Nah its just a coincidence that the two QBs drafted by teams with very good coaches who clearly understood their strengths and weaknesses, are the most successful. And those teams having stability with their playcallers probably had nothing to do with their success. I admit I was not a Josh Allen believer and I still think 2 years ago was not flukey but he had a whole bunch of things go exactly right, but he is definitely a top tier guy. But (disclosure, I am a Ravens fan) I think the idea of Josh Rosen and Sam Darnold getting picked ahead of Lamar fucking baffles me. Darnold basically guaranteed hed be a top 3 pick after the Rose Bowl against Penn State but he was a turnover machine his whole career. And Rosen rode being a 5 star recruit who was good enough as a Freshman that everyone immediately declared him a high first rounder. Lamar Jackson on the other hand, was one of the most absurdly good college players who has ever played. He took a team that was basically him and Jaire Alexander and had them lighting up elite teams. His accuracy wasn't the greatest but his elusiveness and improv ability is basically unheard of. Josh Rosen being two and half inches was apparently worth getting drafted 20 picks higher. In a draft where Baker (6 feet in the same Allen Iverson is 6 feet) was first overall, being short shouldn't be worth that much

  7. Anti draft lol. So basically just big market teams get to compete? And then watch the ratings drop like the NBA. Sam darnold sucked before the Jets despite the media hype. Joe burrow, Baker, Herbert, and more all were able to change a bad team.

  8. “Im anti draft….”

Well good thing no one cares what you thing,

And secondly if the draft goes away so does the NFL and then you can go get a real job

  9. Cant get rid of draft. It would ruin NFL. Guys would stay coastal and major markets and bad teams would stay bad forever, with no chance to do anything

  10. When it comes to the draft you have to look Kiper and his sidekick and blame them for all the BS and stats etc. They are the ones perptuating that garbage so they have jobs. I allways thought they were full ot it and have been wrong so many times. I just dont know how they keep there jobs

  11. Compared to Barkley, Nick Chubb picked in the same draft, second round. At least Cleveland got that one right. Also Denzel Ward was a pretty decent pick at #5.

  12. I don’t think Darnold or Mayfield are busts… they were just drafted to early and given the role of being franchise saviours when they weren’t equipped for that.

  13. Mayfield was taken 1st overall by a team that was loaded, top to bottom. Then tossed out like bad tuna fish at the end of his rookie contract. Now he sits without a team because Carolina would rather roll with Darnold, Seattle with Lock, Atlanta with Mariotta, and the Giants with Jones… yeah, he's definitely a bust ?

  14. Florio only screams and shouts how “anti draft” he is because he knows the draft is never going to go away. A contrarian’s dream take.

  15. One of the great aspects of the NFL is relative parity. There are teams who are perpetually in the bottom half of the league but year-to-year upward (and downward) mobility in the standings is greater than in most professional sports. I agree with some of mike's ideas but the draft is responsible for a large part of that parity.
