  1. To be fair the last three months for fgr has been extremely poor. The table never lies but to lose the huge lead and games in hand advantage that fgr had points to the manager possibly not managing? Watford have form in ditching managers so Edwards will get his payout before the end of his first season

  2. Typical arrogance and pure greed from the football fraternity hope it comes to bite him hard on the backside why oh why build a team and meet an accomplishment only to disappear on a carrot dangling exercise to a championship side at best?

  3. Well at least we didn't have to pay forest green rovers a penny which is a bonus. Plus he'll get a proper meaty burger than all that vegan stuff

Plus he was a free agent after the league two season finished anyway so we had every right to speak to him away from the club.

  4. Poor from Watford, poor from Edwards. Even if Watford told him to keep it secret, they aren’t his boss yet, he should’ve sat down with FGR chairman and said “look this is what’s happened”. Poor from them, good luck to FGR in league 1

  5. As an Argyle fan have to say what a classy chairman Dale Vince is. Obviously not to the detrement of us I hope you have a great season in League 1 next season. Watford used to be a classy club but this is not good such a shame.

  6. I like Forest Green and Dale Vince and what they (and he) stands for, but of course there's secrecy when a manager gets involved in a job process for a massive opportunity at a team like Watford. Need to knock the bitterness on the head. Forest Green are on the up and a massively attractive proposition to aspiring managers.

  7. I am a Watford support this doesn’t surprise us our owners are rubbish I hope they go soon if GT aid looking down he wouldn’t recognise his club the club he work so hard for . So pack your bags go back to Italy we’re you belong and Let us get some dignity back in to our club

  8. Storm in a tea cup. If Watford had decided to pull the plug last minute, it’s better that things were left under wraps no? That way Edwards could still have continued on without any issue

  9. Truly class less move by Watford and manager too, have to see how this pans out be a shame if they fall yet another division and end up playing each other? Should be some protection for clubs about this especially the smaller clubs. Good luck FGR…………

  10. For all the people below saying how bad this is. Rewind to the part where he says they already have a shortlist. Really a day later? Managers have to make hay while the sun shines, couple of bad results, and the shortlist comes out.

  11. Well if Dale has aspirations of playing in the Championship. It wants to get matters sorted with away fans. Because anywhere 1k away fans and they cant cope. You end up getting allowed in late. Some not even allowed in when they had a valid ticket. And Dale himself gives people a shoddy response on Twitter.

  12. Another example of a manager 'running before he can walk'. Congrats to Forest Green on your success this season & don't worry as you'll see him again on his way down.
Bad form Watford. Bad form Rob Edwards.
