David Carr is a top ten QB in the league. People fall in love with the newest, shinnest new QB in the draft. We all know more rookie QBs flame out than succeed. Carr is a proven winner. I believe Gruden was not helping Carr grow as a QB.

As a top 10-15 QB 20million a year is cheap. 40 mill for two more years is money well spent. DC has not been the Raiders issue. To many interceptions this year. But he got them to the play offs inspite of all the drama. The going rate for a franchise guy is a whole lot more than 20 a year. Just saying.
