In 2020, Mike Mularkey revealed that the Titans told him the head coaching job was his before performing sham interviews to meet Rooney Rule requirements, and these comments could have implications in the Flores lawsuit. #NBCSports #ProFootballTalk #TennesseeTitans

Mike Mularkey comment puts Tennessee Titans in ‘very bad light’ | Pro Football Talk | NBC Sports
Información de primera mano del primer equipo de fútbol del Barça. Noticias de Piqué, Ansu Fati, Pedri y todos tus jugadores favoritos. Camisetas NATIONAL TEAM
They All Do It ! They Know Who They Want ! Period …Grow Up
Unfortunately this is every team all these coaches knew they had the job
Ohh boo whoo..if you felt sooooo bad about it why didn't speak up about this WHEN IT ACTUALLY HAPPENED!! This is not courageous….doing the right thing would have been speaking when it happened not 6 Yeats later… what mike did is the opposite of courageous…come on don't drink the cool aid
Jeff Fisher had a job there for how
Long? They are paying Tanehill how much? Titans love looking bad.
Fake News Fuc@#$
Nothing but sour grapes
Regardless of race it happens with every race the good ole boy system. Latino area/town team will hire more than likely a Latino. How’s the same for white or black areas let’s be REAL.
Maybe they hire you know the best candidate regardless of you know RACE. But everything is race mongered nowadays.
NO SURPRISES HERE! NOTHING NEW… BIASES & DISCRIMINATION IS PART OF SOCIETY. THE NFL, IS A MICROCOSM OF CORPORATE AMERICA.
Props to this ex coach for his comments.
IMO nothing racist with what the Titans did. Shady? Maybe. Was a sham of a interview process but not racist
Who is this Mike guy? I think he is not needed here. Kind of odd. He got ego issues?
Funny, but that's standard operating procedure for corporations. 80% (my totally no-supporting-data-for-that-number, but it's a lot) of internally and externally posted jobs are only out there to satisfy a requirement, but they already know who's got the job. Happened to me on both sides often during my career.
Repeating this racist dilemma over and over is a joke, nothing is being done to remove these owners. Held accountable, I would have said but accountability takes care of nothing.
This happens throughout every sector in America. It’s all about who you know. It is ridiculous. . Go interview for a job when they already have their guy. Smdh… Companies waste peoples time and efforts just to make sure they interview enough candidates.
What kind of BS is the Rooney Rule? Interview and hire who you want.
Stop forcing people to hire/interview other people based on their race and this won't happen.
The Rooney Rule invites sham interviews, because you have to interview a minority even if you want someone else to have the job.
Ray Horton told Paul Kulharsky that his interview went well for the head coaching job… why isn't it a "sham interview" then?
I have more respect now for Mike mularkey
The offer of the money to lose games is the CASE here. It explains his firing and I said it the day he was fired that he had cost someone a lot of money!
I just don’t see how someone thinks a team isn’t going to get the best head coach bc he’s black. Maybe there’s one out there who doesn’t care about getting the right coach(I still doubt) but I just believe most people want to win regardless of what color their coach is. Is that crazy of me? Mularkey was already interim so they shouldn’t have to interview anyone. Did I get something wrong?
Give him some of check then since u felt so bad about give Horton some money
He only said something cause he got fired
Well he need to return the money he got since he felt so bad about it
Listen to peter talk. A racist teaching other racist b1tches how to cover up Racism.?
?
Mike: You and I both know the impact of that audio on a jury. It exponentially increases the probability and magnitude of a settlement. Even in the context of arbitration, it will be powerful. That's how litigation works.
Wow, just wow. Not what the interviewer expected I am sure.
Let them hire who they want to hire.
This "move" is very common in Hollywood studios. You audition for a gig you were never intended to get. In fact, It's a move Lorne 'SNL" Michaels is super notorious for. NFL is just now getting exposed.
Anybody else hear Peter's body tense up on this. He really was watching what he said and was so stiff. ~shady~
Maybe we should start making every position in the NFL responsible for looking at Minorities. Have to have one black and one white guy for every spot.
**NEWS FLASH**
Most job interviews, across every industry, are “shams.” Most people have a very good idea of who they want to hire. Sad but true.
Don't give me that malarkey, malarkey
Don’t forget mukarky was a bridge coach to at his first hire. One n done at JAX.. Don’t worry all the stupid money your paying QB’s n receivers the league will slowly crumble.
"If they can prove what we all already know to be true, that would have consequences."
There should be an exception to the Rooney Rule if a team decides to keep an interim coach. If the Titans had already made up their mind on Mularkey it's the NFL's fault they had to do sham interviews.
You know I only see two races fighting this crap
