  1. Why take on Mayfield? Mayfield isn't all that great and you don't get a fifth-year option at the most expensive spot on the team.

  2. Keep my team out your fricken mouth, this idiot is a dumb sob I don’t know why you even have a place in sports talk. You are literally a moron. No one in Detroit wants I suck mayfield he’s a loser, if he is not good enough for the browns he isn’t good enough for the lions. Wipe that dirty smirk off your face. I hate this guy His opinion is absolutely dumb.

  3. Trading for Mayfield would be just rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic. You don't give up draft picks (which is what the Browns will ask for) just for a QB that is marginally better, if that.

  4. The disrespect for Goff is off the charts. The Lion`s started to come together as a team the last 4 or 5 games with Goff at QB. Why would the Lion`s throw a monkey wrench into that bringing in Baker Mayfield? It would be a stupid move.

  5. I like hearing Simms he always aplies logic and explains why he feels the way he does. agree with him or not he was an actual NFL QB and son of NFL QB so I will listen to his opinion. His breakdown video on thus years QBs is great and confurned why I dont want a QB in 1st round.

  6. Stop! Super Bowl Championship caliber Jared Goff is Detroit Lions QB1. Go Honolulu Blue and Silver!

Could Lions trade for Baker Mayfield or Colin Kaepernick? I don’t think Lions would be trading for a veteran free agent quarterback in Baker Mayfield or Colin Kaepernick.

Could Lions draft a quarterback for the future? I think it might be likely if that’s the best player available on the Lions draft board.

Lions will be NFL postseason and Super Bowl Championship bound sooner rather than later.

  7. I bet if Goff had that team Baker had he would have been contending for a superbowl. Think about it. Great run game, great defense, good line, and great receivers. That was Goffs team in L.A. when they reached the superbowl. Goff is a better and most importantly a more mature QB.

  8. Mayfield has something to prove after the way Cleveland treated him. He has a massive chip on his shoulder with something to prove. DC has a chip as well and is an aggressive coach. Mayfield is an aggressive QB. The fit is too obvious.

  9. Really don’t understand why you think Mayfield would be good for Detroit right now. First of all Goff isn’t terrible. He’s not an elite QB, but he’s good enough to keep around for a couple years whilst we build the roster. Second, the number one thing the Lions need to do is change the culture and I can’t think of a worse leader and example setter at the quarterback position than Baker right now. He is not what we need in any way, thus why no body currently wants him. This isn’t the ‘same old Lions’ anymore, they’re actually well run.

  10. Lions should not draft a QB this year, i'd wait. This year just get the best players you can this year, pick 32 i would trade if someone wants to get the QB with a 5th year option and try get 2 2s and a 3rd or 4th so you have more potential young starters
