  1. Wilks took a 3-4 defense that played decent in 2017 turned it into a 4-3 (which he said he wouldnt) and it played horrible.

The team scored 14 points a game. 2 less than the Lions team that went 0-16.

Also, Florio clearly hasn't listened to enough Fitzgerald interviews. The man hasn't said a negative word in public about any coaching staff or player.

  2. We welcomed Steve Wilks with open arms. Everyone thought that was going to do for us what Tony D did for the Bucks. He was given a full season despite fans wanting him by week 10. Sad to say this had nothing to do with race. He took an 8-8 team to 3-13 no franchise/ team or business is going to accept that. Tell your boss that you just lost 50%+ of the company profits…?
After the Cardinals he went to Browns 6-10 this year Panthers 5-12 …
    Enough?

  3. I'm sorry but regardless of how fine a person he may be Steve Wilks was simply overmatched as a head coach. Steve Kiem is a long-term employee who made a mistake. All told Steve Kiem is an above average GM and Steve Wilks was a bad hire….end of story.

  4. Wilks went 3-13 and they were humiliated several times during the season. Som say he didn’t want The OC, but to that i can just say, don’t say yes to a HC job where you cant hire your own staff, if you do so you can’t come several years after and ?. That has nothing to do with race but all to do with Wilks as a HC.
He was fired because he was a weak HC with a loosing record.

  5. I swear Peter king always got something negative to say about black ppl and players just sad when your true self show you know how to say it and show it in different ways to not be so blunt with it he can disguise it pretty good ?

  6. I'm a Cardinals fan, 2018 was the what year in franchise history and that's saying A LOT. Sure, he had Josh Rosen at QB but BA won more games with worse QBs, I don't want to hear it

  7. Knowing Coach Wilks personally, it hurt me how they did him in Arizona. I wanted to be happy for him when he got that job, but I told him, something is fishy about it.

  8. Would have to look all the way into history and look at White coaches who inherited a debacle of a team and did very poorly in year 1 and were allowed 2nd and 3rd years. Versus how many Black coaches were in the same position and were fired after the first season. I think the evidence is there within the history of the NFL which is well documented if people really want to dig through it all and find it.

  9. Most of the players in the NFL today are black. It wouldn't be a bad thing if most of the coaches in the NFL were also black, or asian, or hispanic. I don't see any asian head coaches it's time for my people to rise up and start pushing for our share of equality as well. At the end of the day if you know football at a really high level, and you can communicate, lead, grown men and make them believe in your message then you should be a coach in the NFL.

  10. You were given a shot; that’s where these arguments lose me. Yeah, most teams that look for a new coach aren’t great, and most first time HCs aren’t sliding into a great team, white or black. And frankly, if you have the opportunity to upgrade, you shouldn’t even have to interview. If a coach the caliber of Sean Payton decides to come back, for instance, do we really need the charade? I think the lack of black coaches is a bad look, and needs to be addressed. But more silliness isn’t addressing it.

  11. Someone had to be hired … I guess it would be better that they hired a White Bridge coach?… No wonder why NFL teams hire White coaches… It's just less trouble in the long run…

  12. The Chicago White Sox hired Tony LaRussa who has multiple DUIs. He got hired after not managing for 10 years. LaRussa’s track record as a manager is why he’s in the HOF, but the trend in MLB now is hiring younger managers. I’m curious to know who the White Sox didn’t hire.

  13. Wilks might not of been the problem but if they were just trying to lose why would they draft a quarterback in the draft. We would have to assume that they knew that Josh Rosen would be absolute trash. That makes zero sense whatsoever they could’ve traded back and got more players or they could’ve got a player that would have impact after they got the quarterback they want. At that time we did not know whether or not Kyler Murray was going to play baseball or football. These claims are absolute trash. In addition what Mike says here is that Josh McCown did not get the job because he was white.

  14. I'm sure it has nothing to do with his lack of ability. It never is, its all about color. Frankly, I'm becoming tone deaf to claims of racism. It no longer matters to me.

  15. What never cease to amaze me is how you guys can loosely use certain terms. Talk about kangaroo NFL is an insult to the public’s intelligence. You use the term “ allegedly “ in this conversation as if it has no merit. Yet you two hypocrites use the term allegedly when it refers to Deshawn Watson as if it carries genuine merit ? Two white supremacists behind a microphone ?

  16. They wanted to pair their young qb with an offensive coach. Cardinals have been one of the most diverse teams in the league. They had a black gm rod Graves for over 10 years and first black women exec in NFL history. It wasn't a race thing

  17. Wilks wasn’t the problem that team was trash look at Josh Rosen now wth was he supposed to do…meanwhile Dan Campbell has a way better roster only 3 wins and is celebrated ?‍♂️

  18. I swear I never thought I'd say this.
But America SHOULD NOT be telling people or persons how to run a business!!! Growing up in Detriot I've learned other races rarely if ever hire outside of they're race its simply a comfort thing. Right or wrong i see it everyday. The line has to be drawn at telling people how they have to run there business and spend they're money because if you do it for some you have to do it for all. Equal rights is kinda the point right?

  19. Does everyone forget how bad Wilkes suct? He dismantled a 3-4 defense to make a 4-3 defense, even though we were already built to run a 3-4 defense in the top 10 of the NFL? Hello… McFly… is anybody in there?

  20. A I dont buy the head coach has no say in personnel matters,
if thats the Cards structure then they deserve what they get
the PROBLEM is Hyperaccountablity on Wilkes over a decision
YOU JUST TOLD ME HE ISNT ALLOWED TO MAKE.
How does he improve, and get another job, when he got fired over
    OTHERS' ineptitude.

  21. I guess Josh Rosen was a bridge QB too. Steve Wilks lost his job mainly because of 1 game,it was a TNF game VS Denver Broncos, before that game Von Miller said to the media:" we're coming to beat their azz,you can print that" and with no practice and 2 day rest Broncos came to AZ and embarrassed the Cardinals, during the game camera showed Michael Bidwill and he looked livid, i knew he was going to fire Steve Wilks at that moment, Wilks made a lot of bad decisions, like running a 43 defense with 34 personnel, starting Sam Bradford after it was clear to everyone Sam Bradford is awful, putting in Josh Rosen on the last drive vs Bears without any preparation, just throwing him in there as a desperation move, but all that would've been forgiven if it wasn't for that TNF game VS Denver debacle.
