  1. Ya, feel terrible for the guy that is gonna get 18 million no matter what… Browns worried about Baker making them look bad and go out and mortgage the future for Watson with all his clown show…. They couldn't have messed that up any worse than they did.

  2. Baker needs to stay, get an attitude adjustment, spend his time and energy working out and making himself injury free and tough and be ready to go because they are going to have to pay him anyway and there is such a thing as poetic justice in this world at times.

  3. I think Baker sits a year under Brady with the Bucs and reevaluate himself. I still think he’s a franchise guy but this is his come to Jesus moment. Who knows? Brady retires 2023 Baker takes over and shows off maturity. No other team really wants him.

  4. Very simple. He can do anything he wants, and go anywhere he wants, and leave tomorrow morning if he wants. All he has to do is void his fifth year option.

  5. This is so funny ? Baker Mayfield tried to get the
City of Cleveland mad at the Browns and their GM
on his way outta town but he didn't think they would actually land Watson and not have another team trade for him ? and now he's stuck there ?

  6. The Browns gave Baker Mayfield a screw job !
Baker plays badly hurt and injured the whole season and how does Cleveland payback Baker's loyalty to the Browns?
They go behind his back and try to get rid of him.
Then after he gets pissed over it.
You attack him by saying he's not an adult.
All these critics of Baker especially in Cleveland are going to be crying the blues.
If you don't think Deshaun Watson is not going to have a problem in Cleveland with other women
    You are only kidding yourself.
When Watson doesn't tell his team, his gf what he is doing.
You think magically Watson is going to become a Boy Scout ?
Cleveland and Watson are going to have to set aside $40 million dollars in structure settlements to make this problem go away.
If they don't, Watson is never going to see the football field
Secondly, Watson has proven he is incapable of good judgement off a football field.
If Watson isn't made to get counseling for the next two straight years.
Trust me Watson and the problem with Woman will continue.
As far as Baker is concerned don't be surprised he sits behind Tom Brady for a year and becomes the BUCS starting QB for the next ten to twelve years.

  7. …Everyone involved (i.e., Mr. Mayfield, Cleveland Browns) remains professional, because of the uncertainty surrounding the Mr. Watson situation “off-the-football-field” (and if he’ll be available the first football game of the upcoming NFL football season).

NOTE: If Mr. Watson is not available for the first football game of the upcoming NFL football season, then Mr. Mayfield can remain professional by being available and winning football games until Mr. Watson becomes available. Thus, improving the alleged “distraction image” for a new opportunity elsewhere.

  8. when watson gets suspended i would rather have baker play than brissett, IF baker plays along.

we would have a better chance of winning early in the season, and it would up bakers trade value.

  9. BAKER MAYFIELD WAS THROWING INTERCEPTIONS, FUMBLING AND TAKING SACKS SINCE HE'S BEEN A BROWN! HE'S THROWN MORE INTERCEPTIONS SINCE HE BECAME A STARTING QUARTERBACK! MEDIA GET OVER IT! YOU WE'RE WRONG!

  10. Deshaun may have to serve a suspension. Jacoby is the signed backup, who I liked in college but have to admit that Baker may be a better starter than Jacoby, so who plays when Deshaun is serving suspension?

  11. Baker should do the best he can for this year and then get out of Cleveland. If he wins games when Watson is suspended and Watson comes in and loses imagine that controversy. He will get picked up alot quicker by another team by not causing problems. Plus he is guaranteed 18.8 million.

  12. Berry has destroyed the Browns. Trading away all those assets and & giving $230 mil to a guy who will be suspended = disaster. Likewise, Miami gave away their draft capital for a WR talent (Hill) that could have been easily found in the draft. This is not the NBA & these GM's have screwed their franchises.

  13. So…if he shows up and acts “professionally” he’ll be a “distraction”, and they’ll just “ignore him”, and “won’t coach him”.
Who’s the “grownup” if that does indeed happen?
    The Browns or Baker?
Have any of you ever experienced this?
It’s quite common. Management often does exactly that scenario. And if the “ignored one”, the “un-coached one” doesn’t have a Fake smile painted on his face, and doesn’t jump in exuberation like a puppy, he’s labeled “unprofessional”
Do the right thing Browns: Trade him if you can, release him otherwise, or at least treat him as a Real Player.

  14. Lol Mike acting like this dude has any leverage, he's under contract, they already we're going to pay him. They will ride this season out with Watson understand contract for 1 million…next year he's a free agent, Baker put himself in this situation

  15. These two are laughable, you think Baker would pull these stunts and then have a team invest in him? He is a high risk asset- needs to sit down. They are criticizing Browns for sitting with Watson? A guy who may be the best QB in the league? Someone who has HOF written all over him? When Baker has proven to make poor decisions? He's got a right to demand a trade! But does any team in the league make an offer? Maybe BAKER needs to read the room- if he kept his mouth shut maybe the Haslem's don''t make that offer to Watson and he's still our QB. Baker is tough, love his moxy, but his hubris is exactly that, hamartia, his fatal flaw.

  16. Baker is good y’all…. Career 92 TD, 56 INT. That’s solid. Michael Vick, 133 TD, 88 INT. Matt Ryan career QBR is 94, Baker was 93 last season…. Everybody expects if you can’t win a super bowl, you’re bad. Not true, Baker is a solid middle of the road player. He’s just east to dislike because of his attitude. So what.

  17. You forget Baker knows he didn't perform but he's a Brown, there's mutual consideration. i don't care if Baker works out, he's still a player and we'll help him move forward, it's a mutual benefit that matters. Of course they'll help him in his quest to be a starter elsewhere.
