The Fantasy Football Club’s very own Paul Merson is ready for another challenge, and this time he has his work cut out for him.

  1. If Le Tissier was Brazilian or French they'd have built a team around him.
    His natural ability was incredible.
Imagine him and a fit Gazza in midfield.
No wonder England have not won anything since 1966.

  2. Le Tess wasted his talent, never fulfilled his true potential, i see comments about him being wasted by England, which may have some truth in it, but he never worked for the team, he would have been a passenger, can't have lazy players at international level.

  3. Le tissier should have been England's superstar for ten years. A team of hard working great players to support a man who could create amazing goals for fun. Goal a game and all of them would have been amazing.

  4. Matt Le tissue was a fantastic player and the best penalty taker lve seen, England totally wasted his career on plonkers like David Batty who would kick his own grandmother if she had a ball!

  5. To all the comments moaning about Le Tissier not getting more caps my guess is it was because he was a lazy, comfort zone pro who stayed at a small club his entire career to win nothing. Stories of him lashing full roast dinners down with all the trimmings and indulging himself. He didn’t seem to have the drive to be a top pro at a top club challenging for things and didn’t maximise his career. He is at least partially responsible for his lack of England caps
