Football Betting – Tips to Make It Work Every Time

Football betting has proved to be an affair that can help make lives better since it provides many with the chance to make some real cash as they continue enjoying the sport. The betting is not however as cheap and easy as it seems since it can cost one a lot especially when wrong decision or decision that are not well thought out are made.

This is a process that needs good calculations especially for the football fans that are looking to make money besides enjoying the matches. Wrong betting can be very disappointing and can actually leave one in financial woes especially when he or she had placed huge amounts of money in a bet that went contrary to the expectations.

This makes it very important to consider all essential facts about the match that you are about to place a bet on every single time. It is actually very beneficial to start looking at the likely outcomes of the matches that you are looking forward to placing the best on since this will ensure that you are aware of every single aspect. Early analyzation is also helpful since it ensures that no detail about the matches is left out and the fan is of course in a better position to make sound decisions.

Always ensure that you find a reliable betting site and one that has a good reputation to it. This is because fraudsters take part in almost everything and when you settle for any site you might end up losing your money in a bet that never was. A good site should be reasonable enough and should make available safe and convenient ways of making any deposits of withdrawals. Always remember that online transactions can be very risky.

When making the football bets, always make bets that are reasonable in relation with the football odds. This will ensure that you make bets that won’t hurt much even when the expected results are not achieved. It is not very advisable to place large amounts of money especially in cases where the odds don’t seem to be giving a very clear line on which line to follow in the betting.

Also, take the time to know the strong team players and what their absence in the matches could mean to the team and the results in general. Past matches can also be considered and how prepared the teams are in relation to the time they have had to relax since their last matches.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Tidbits

Those who live in the Miami area may – worried that they will be shunned from restaurants and country clubs – claim to be Dolphins fans, growing fins and living underwater in their spare time. But Miami, like any other city in a state with multiple football teams, likely has its fair share of Tampa Bay fans. Perhaps these folks once lived in Tampa Bay and moved to Miami. Perhaps they grew up watching Tampa Bay or know someone who played for them. Perhaps, they (gasp!) would just rather be a Buccaneer than a Dolphin. For you Tampa Bay fans lingering in the city of Miami, this article is one you’ll likely want to pirate.

Every NFL team has its fair share of history and trivia. But, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers possess some of the most interesting trivia around. Those who disagree will have to walk the plank.

Kings of the South: Tampa Bay is the only team in the NFC South to prevail as Super Bowl Champions. Though Atlanta and Carolina have reached the Super Bowl, they have yet to be victorious. New Orleans, on the other end of the spectrum, is one of a handful of teams to have never made it to the championship.

The Rich Get Richer: The owner of the Buccaneers, Malcolm Glazer, also owns the Manchester United, an England soccer team. The Manchester United is considered the richest sports organization in the entire world.

Oops: The 1976 Buccaneers are the only team in modern day NFL history to lose every single game in a season. Since the NFL went to a sixteen game season, in 1978, several teams have gone 1-15, but no one has gone 0-16. During the 1982 season, which was shortened by a strike, the Baltimore Colts had no victories, but they had one tie to accompany their eight losses.

He could go all the way…but he won’t: The Buccaneers are the only NFL team that has never scored a touchdown on a kickoff return during a regular season game, a feat that has, up till the start of the 2006 season, been done over 1700 times by other teams. The Bucs have, however, scored five touchdowns on kickoff returns during preseason games.

A Pirate’s Curse: No team that has lost a regular season game to Tampa Bay has ever won the Super Bowl. This, because of its years in existence, is known as The Tampa Bay Curse and haunts anyone who falls to the Bucs before season’s end.

The Warm Weather Factor: Until the final regular season game of 2002, in which Tampa Bay defeated the Chicago Bears in Chicago, the Buccaneers had never won a game where the temperature at kickoff was less than 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Before beating the Bears, the Bucs had lost the twenty previous games played in cold weather.

Keeping it Real: Not only did the Bucs not do well in cold weather, but they also didn’t do well playing on artificial grass. They once lost 27 games in a row played on artificial turf in outdoor stadiums. This losing streak spanned 15 years, from the 1980 season to the 1995 season.

Coach Potatoes: Tony Dungy, who recently led the Indianapolis Colts to a Super Bowl victory and served previously as head of the Buccaneers, has seen four people from his Tampa Bay coaching staff make it as head coaches. Herman Edwards, an assistant under Dungy, coaches the Kansas City Chiefs; Rod Marinelli, a defensive coach under Dungy, coaches the Detroit Lions; Mike Tomlin, a defensive coach under Dungy, coaches the Pittsburgh Steelers; and Lovie Smith, a linebackers coach under Dungy, coaches the Chicago Bears. The former Buccaneers coaches met most recently in the 2007 Super Bowl.

Tampa Bay might not be a team full of Super Bowl rings or hall of fame names, but it’s an interesting team nonetheless, and one that some Miami fans can’t help but cheer for…even if done quietly.

Top Ten Hardest Sports in the World

We constantly find ourselves arguing about the most difficult sports in the world. Based on their own personal inabilities to participate in those sports, some people give their opinions. What they don’t understand is that the difficulty of any sport will depend on certain aspects like the strength, power, endurance, speed, flexibility, hand-eye coordination, and any other quality required in the sport. This article will include the top ten hardest sports in the world along with the qualities required for these games.

10. Alpine Skiing

This is a hard game where a person uses skis to move down the slope on the snow-covered hills. You need to know how to move down on the snow. Besides, you have to endure the chilling cold. In addition to this, Alpine Skiing requires perfect timing and a high degree of precision. Lack of any of these qualities may bring about disastrous results. Different researchers have revealed that 4 out of 1,000 players need medical attention.

9. Baseball

This is more of a mental sport- as it requires great eye-hand coordination. Moreover, the players need to be standby at any given time. The hitter has to track the movement of the ball, using his or her eyes. At times, it can be really difficult to follow the speed of the ball.

8. Martial Arts

To become a successful martial artist, you need to be an enduring human being. To win this game, a person should have enough strength. Here pain and exhaustion are too high to endure without a regular training and practice. Martial arts require a lot of hand-eye coordination, endurance, and enough strength.

7. Basketball

This sport requires fast reflexes, great eye-hand coordination and accuracy, too. Sometimes, the players get injuries due to their quick turns in the game. At times, they end with a broken wrist or ankle.

6. Football

Football requires the capability of running for 90 minutes and the power of fighting with 11 opponents. A footballer needs to be fast. He or she must have rapid foresight. To become a successful football player, one should have very good foot-eye coordination.

5. Ice Hockey

To become an ice hockey player, you need perfect ice-skating skill. In the playground, you have 9 other players moving around you at high-speed. All of them are aiming at one puck. You, therefore, need a lot of power, stamina and precision in order to play this game.

4. Gymnastics

Flexibility is the main criterion required for this sport. Here you need a perfect control on your body. Courage is another mandatory quality. Any small mistake can bring about massive injuries.

3. Rugby

Of all the sports in the world, rugby is the sport that demands real giants who are not only physically fit but also possess enough strength. All through the game, you need to use your strength to knock your opponents down. Side by side, you have to endure their powerful knocks. Making your own way through your opponents is like moving walls. You can’t do this very well unless you have enough strength, enormous power and high endurance capacity.

2. Wrestling

Wrestling requires great power, endurance and high-speed. You will lose the game- if you cannot take the right action at the right moment. Speed and tactics are two important things in order to defeat your opponents.

1. Boxing

This sport requires more endurance and power than any other game in the world. You need to show enough strength, great eye-hand coordination, and high-speed to win a game. You have to be ready for any incoming kick. You have to endure the pain of any unblocked kick. You need to be fast enough to save unpredictable kicks coming from your opponent. Besides, you need to hit your opponent hard. Anytime you are stepping into the ring, you are almost sure that you will receive a few injuries at the end of the game. Sometimes, you may receive severe injuries like a broken arm or a bleeding nose.

Tired of Weak Offensive Line Play in Youth Football? 4 Quick Tips

Here are 4 quick tips to improve your youth football teams offensive line play:

«Who» to block is as or more important than «How» to block for most youth football teams.

Even the greatest block on the wrong player can result in football plays that go for losses.

On the other hand, many times even a poorly executed block on the right player can impede the defender long enough for your team to get a descent gain out of the play.

Some things to consider:

1) In order for your team to effectively block the right player on each play, you must have a simple and sound blocking scheme and rules. Our blocking rule on most plays is GOD, inside gap, «on», unconditional down. The player looks to the inside gap first, if no one is there, they look to «on». if no one is there, they move to an unconditional down block.

2) You must teach the scheme to the players in a fashion they can understand it and where it becomes second nature to them. We do lots of first two step and freeze drills. Also assign our best coach to the offensive line.

3) Your offense must take the time during practice to make sure that every play is run perfectly. Make sure the correct player is being blocked every play and with proper first steps and head placement using methods like «birddogging» and fit and freezing. These methods include the offensive line taking steps on your count 1-2-3-4 and «fitting» on the defender he is to block. This is a slow motion drill, not live scrimmaging.

4) Technique is important too, but «Who» to block is often the most neglected area with most youth football teams.

The Journey to Become a Motocross Athlete

Some of the world’s most elite athletes live lifestyles that are far different from any other professional athlete. Motocross riders endure the most physically demanding and dangerous conditions and are only recognized by a small portion of the total population. These athletes compete year-round for championship tiles and race victories for race teams which are much like employers. These athletes must maintain their lifestyle of extremely demanding training to keep competitive with other top performing competition. As new technology advances these race machines become even faster and more maneuverable than ever before.

This has pushed these athletes to the edge as racing has become increasingly dangerous. One small mistake at these speeds can cause severe injury to these athletes, forcing them to sit out for the duration of the season.

Training never stops for these athletes as they transition from an indoor season directly into an outdoor season. They are then exposed to the natural elements of extreme temperatures in head to toe gear in addition to wet and muddy conditions increasing the risk of a mistake which can be devastating to the riders. They are forced to relocate their family to be able to train at team race facilities located in Florida and California. These strategic locations allow these race teams to practice year-round for both indoor and outdoor seasons. Controlling these 250lb pound machines on technical tracks battling with 20 other riders is no easy task. Heart monitors on these riders show results of anaerobic plus heart rates. This form of endurance has granted motocross the title of the most physically demanding and dangerous sport in the world.

The journey to become a professional athlete in any sport whether it be baseball, basketball, football, golf, or motocross begins at a very young age. Many athletes were introduced to a particular sport by their parents in which they competed for many years. Their will become a point in a child’s life when he or she starts to make their own decisions as to whether or not they wish to continue to pursue their passion for a sport. Unlike any other sport in the world, motocross forces kids to sacrifice many things other sport do not, making their dream and passion a lifestyle. For example, the other sports I had listed previously allow all the athletes to compete in school organizing functions or town related teams that permit kids to compete on the weekend when school is out of session. Motocross is not one of these sports. Schools and towns cannot host their own motocross teams due to the high risk and liability to host one of these events. These Athletes then turn to nationally held events which host the top riders around the world for every age class. These events require most of the athletes to travel hundreds of miles to compete. At a young age these competitors rely on parents or guardians to cover costs and traveling arrangements to stay competitive. Many kids are then forced to be home schooled as a majority of their time is spent traveling and competing in hopes of one day accomplishing their dream of a professional motocross racer.

The Effects of Impulse in Sports

Impulse is a very subtle and little known aspect of our daily lives. Impulse can be seen in a variety of things such as cars to projectiles to rockets to sports and so on. In sports, American Football, Volleyball, Basketball, and about every other sport, impulse is implemented. For instance, one can observe impulse in his/her shoes: the cushion between the floor and one’s foot reduces the amount of force done on the foot from a reactionary force. The same data can be observed in padded sleeves: knee pads in Volleyball, compression wear in Football, jockstraps, and so on.

Impulse is a vector quantity defined as the product of the force acting on a body and the time interval during which the force is exerted. Impulse is part of Newton’s Second Law and goes hand in hand with momentum. The S.I. unit for Impulse is the Newton-Second.

A force causes acceleration and a change in the velocity for as long as it acts. Therefore, a resultant force that is applied over a longer period of time will produce a bigger change in linear momentum than the same force applied briefly: the change in momentum is equal to the product of the average force and duration. The same effect works vice-versa: a small force applied for a long time produces the same change in momentum (or the same change in impulse) as a larger force applied briefly. For example, in American Football, a linebacker will charge and tackle the quarterback. The force from the impact can potentially cause concussions or even break bones if the quarterback isn’t covered in paddings and protective gear. However, a force can be great enough to cause the previously stated injuries. Assume there is a 150 kilogram (kg) linebacker charging at a quarterback at 5 meters per second (m/s), the linebacker would apply a force of 750 newtons (N): Force = Mass x Acceleration. Now, compare this force to a 12-gauge shotgun, whose shrapnel would apply a force of approximately 500 m/s. As one can see, the amount of force that the linebacker applies is tremendous. However, the linebacker doesn’t apply that true amount of force. With a series of paddings and/or cushionings, the force is reduced to a minimal. The longer it takes for the force to go through the padding and connect to the body, the less force a person will receive. For example, if it takes 3 seconds for the force to connect, the force will be reduced to 250 N.

To conclude, Impulse is a fundamental that allows most aspects of our daily lives.

Football is one of the most popular sports in the world and as a result many people bet on it. If you are a beginner and you want to bet on the world’s famous sport, here are tips that you should put into practice for you to be successful:

Bet what you know

While there are some betters who are gamblers and fans second, you should not be like them. As a beginner you should start betting on sports that you know something about.

For example, if you have been following Manchester United Football Club for a long time, you should start by betting on it before you move to other teams.

Time your wagers cautiously

In sports betting, odds fluctuate within a very short time; therefore, you should be very cautious. For example, the odds can fluctuate as a result of player injuries, breakthrough performances, and even as a result of action of other gamblers.

To be successful you should place your bets at the right time when you are more likely to make a profit.

Diversify your accounts

Online sportsbooks have different specialties. For example, there are books that specialize in European soccer leagues and others that specialize in the African league.

For you to get the most you should open accounts with multiple books so that you can have more options in terms of odds and the number of games that are available for betting. Having many accounts also makes it easy for you to shift your bankroll.

Make use of the customer service

Legitimate online bookmakers have well trained and professional customer service representatives who handle issues on behalf of the company. If you have any questions or problems, you should not shy away from contacting your bookmaker.

The good side is that there are many ways of contacting the customer service representatives. For example, you can contact them via phone, email, or live chat.

Starting with simple bets protects you from losing money. The practice also gives you a strong foundation and you are able to learn how to bet like a pro within a very short time.

The Top Three High School Boy’s Coaches of All-Time

The criteria for making this list is as follows: an impressive list of successes, no recruiting of athletes, the ability to develop an entire roster, being ahead of their time (an innovator), and helping boys grow into better men for the rest of their lives (also known as leaving a mark on all those he or she coached). Without further ado:

1) Harry Johnson, Head Boy’s Track & Field coach, South Eugene High School, Eugene, Oregon 1971-1977- Seven State Championships.

When Coach Johnson (who was soon known throughout the state as simply «Harry») took over the track program at SEHS they had never won a state track & field championship in the school’s history. Only one high school in Eugene had ever won a state title in track & field, their rival North Eugene high school ten years earlier. Harry’s teams won the state title his first year and every year after winning seven straight state championships. His athletes set National records in the decathlon, steeplechase, 6-mile and 10,000 meter run, distance medley relay and the four-mile relay (the last of which still stands to this day).

Despite the fact that few division-1 scholarships were available in the sport of track and field, Harry’s athletes earned more full scholarships to major universities than any of the state’s other schools, every single year. This included all the major sports (Football, Basketball, and Baseball) that had many more scholarships available.

As impressive as the statistics listed above are, most of what made Harry great was not as easily quantifiable. How did he manage to create such close bonds among diverse team members in a sport of individuals? How did he manage to make every member of the team feel important in the overall success of the program? How did he keep seniors trying to break five minutes in the mile motivated on a team that had multiple runners striving to break four minutes in the mile?

I don’t know the answer to these questions, but I do know that he possessed the one trait I have seen again and again in coaches/leaders that excel at the highest levels. He somehow got you to buy into his process and give yourself over to something bigger than you. In doing so, he also found a way to make hard work fun. He didn’t always have the best athletes but he never put any pressure on his athletes.

He was way ahead of his time mentally as well. He rarely talked about winning and focused on preparation, knowing that if you prepared well you would be relaxed and confident when the meets came. You rarely saw his athletes tight or nervous. While other team’s athletes were «psyching themselves up» to race/compete, Harry’s were loose and having fun. They looked at everything as an opportunity, which kept the thought of potential failures a million miles away.

I don’t know if the following was by design or not (and I asked Harry and he would not admit to it if it was), but Harry’s teams wore different colored sweats (except for the school’s name on the back which was in school colors: purple & white). So while his athletes were preparing for their events (unencumbered mentally) most of their competitors were preoccupied with figuring out what the different colored sweats signified.

Some of the top performers were in blue sweats, others were in orange, black, red, green or burgundy. Some in each color were seniors, but others were juniors and sophomores. It was confusing to outsiders and appeared to have no rhyme or reason, but that didn’t stop athletes from other schools coming up with a multitude of plausible reasons. The reality was quite simple; everyone got to choose whatever color they wanted, starting with seniors, until a color ran out.

Though Harry was undefeated in state championships during his tenure, his teams did lose a couple of duel-meets over the years. Harry easily could have won all of them too, but he would rest many athletes to give less accomplished athletes a chance to come through, and they usually did. This also helped in their development going forward.

However, there was one exception to this strategy. Harry despised cheating and there was a particular school with a reputation for recruiting athletes away from other schools. When his team faced off with that school, Harry would load up all his top athletes and nearly shut that school out from scoring every time. I believe that’s called sending a message.

2) Harry Johnson, Head Boy’s Gymnastics coach, South Eugene High School, Eugene, Oregon 1963-1972- Ten State Championships.

Harry started working at South Eugene high school right out of college as an assistant coach with the football team. Soon after, they asked him if he wanted to coach their brand new gymnastics team. Having no previous experience with gymnastics at any level, but not one to back down from a new challenge, he said yes.

The rest is history as this was where Harry developed his coaching style and leadership qualities leading the team to the state title every year before stepping down.

3) Harry Johnson, Head Boy’s Cross Country coach, South Eugene High School, Eugene, Oregon 1970-1977- Eight State Championships.

This easily could have been the number one spot for Harry, as this former football star and coach took a liking to a bunch of gangly distance runners and made them men. The only reason I awarded his job as track & field coach number one was the sheer number of diverse people he was able to bring together as one.

That said, he was probably most widely known for the job he did developing middle-distance and distance runners, and he did it without overloading them with destructive high mileage like many successful high school coaches did at the time. However, most high school teams in America don’t have an all-time record in the mile as fast as 4:12. Harry coached five of his milers to bests of under 4:10, two running under 4:05 in his too short time as head coach there.

Harry turned down numerous opportunities to coach major college Track and Cross Country programs, but eventually an opportunity too good to pass up came along. The upstart sports company known as Nike decided to start a first of its kind track team to help post-collegiate athletes train for the Olympics and Nike co-founders Phil Knight and Bill Bowerman agreed that Harry Johnson was the man to lead that team, which became known as Athletics West.

Who knows how many more championships Harry would have won and lives he would have touched had he stayed longer? What is known is that the culture and some of the athletes he left behind for his successors, won another eight state titles in the five years following his departure.

For anyone wondering why I made him top 1, 2 and 3 on this list? The answer is two-fold: 1) Just giving him the top spot didn’t seem like enough for his extraordinariness and 2) I have an aversion to lists and awards in general, as they are always subjective, so I figured why not?
