31. Obviously clear what the players are thinking about, but I've no idea what the Saudi's think they're going to achieve by bringing in all these ageing players for ridiculous money.
    Bring in 33yr old player, he'll do 1 maybe 2 seasons at best. No way is someone at that stage in their career going to A) play their best and give it their all in a nothing league with no stakes and B) play regularly in the heat of Saudi Arabia, then they retire. Player is minted, just see out their short deal doing the bare minimum and what did the league get out of it? A league full of ageing has beens on a sabatical isn't going to make any difference to anything, feels like the MLS rebooted 2.0. Maybe they're hoping these players will inspire a new generation of youth to play football… but somehow this seems to be the most expensive gamble towards trying to achieve that.
