Jurgen Klopp reflects on Liverpool's season after losing the Champions League final to Real Madrid

A defiant Jurgen Klopp has vowed Liverpool will return stronger next season.

Liverpool were denied a seventh European crown as Real Madrid became kings of the continent once again thanks to Vinicius Junior’s strike in a Champions League showpiece marred by chaos outside the Stade de France.

Kick-off had to be delayed by 37 minutes due to substantial security issues outside the stadium in Paris, where Liverpool were eventually edged out 1-0.

Klopp’s Reds were unable to find a response to the second-half strike as Carlo Ancelotti, managing in a record fifth Champions League final just a year after leaving Everton, oversaw the Spanish giants’ 14th European Cup triumph.

  1. So Liverpool didn't do a treble, that's a shame but to be honest, any ''Treble'' which does not include the League is like having a big cock with no balls. So they won the FA Cup on penalties and the Carabao Cup on penalties which is like having a medium sized cock and one bollock. Does that remind you of anyone ? Yes that's right, Hitler.. and just for the Stats.. in all 3 finals, Liverpool scored 0 (zero) goals in open play including extra time so it would be more appropriate to say they had a cock and one ball that fired blanks.

  2. Madrid goal scoring efficiency (clinical finishing) against PSG, Chelsea, City and Liverpool is unreal. Must be over 75% of shots on target going in. Benzema deserves the Ballon D'Or and Vinicius deserves credit too.

  3. Jurgen is a good coach,a brilliant motivator, has excellent people skills but sometimes lacks a plan b…
I think the players love playing for him. Who wouldn't?
Tough bit is to get the team to evolve every season to keep your opponents on their toes…
Ultimately you have to take your chances

  4. Tough end to a great season, football is decided by fine margins, it's been great to witness City and Liverpool this season with Madrid having a miracle run in the champions league.

  5. Madrid deserved it. Stats don't mean anything in big finals like this. Experience, Mentality and belief was the real difference here. Its no coincedence how Madrid have been dominating the champions league in recent years. For those who think its luck need to zoom out.

Klopp has only won one Premier league and one Champions league at Liverpool. People act like hes a managerial god, but his silverware record isn't exactly legendary status. He has lost 3 Champions league finals in his managerial career and a Europa league Final. I think a more suitable name is Klopp the Flop.
