French police tear gas & pepper spray fans waiting to attend the Champions League final

UEFA has blamed «thousands of fans with fake tickets» for causing delays outside the Stade de France ahead of the Champions League final as the showpiece event was marred by disturbing scenes ahead of the game.

Sky Sports News’ chief reporter Kaveh Solhekol was among those who were targeted with tear gas as chaos continued before the final, which eventually kicked off almost 40 minutes late.

Citing ‘unacceptable issues’ for supporters, Liverpool had called for a formal investigation to probe what occurred outside the stadium before UEFA released its statement.

  5. I'm French and I feel what happened was a shame. I'm so sorry for kids and people. you can just imagine what it is the risk for JO 2024 at Paris and it is the new France with our new government.

  6. What both sky and the BBC also did not say. They were massive amounts of migrants running into the crowd of fans robbing. Why anyone goes to France these days and spends their well earned money. You most be crazy. We have 10+ boats leaving with 40+ migrants in boats. That is not why I am pissed off the most. It’s because there were police around 10 in each group and they sat and watched them leave on boats that were made for 2 or 4 people. And that should not be crossing the channel. The British home office needs the same kind of action as Australia’s turning the boats back. We have spent millions on this mess. But thanks to liberals. That mostly don’t have to live with this mess. We have British born people who have served in the military. Sleeping on the streets. But we spend millions per day on hotels that people who mostly are not refugees. If we need to 4x the amount to send them to anywhere else don’t care we’re. Do it. We are a soft target for these people. Don’t forget their coming from France. A safe country. Well it was until the EU opened the borders up to anyone who wanted to come. We could go no we’re during Covid. But if you’re a migrant you can shop around to the best welfare country that they want. Let’s get harder on this mess. This is getting to the point of no return. One’s that’s here. Put them into areas of political figures that want mass immigration. I am pissed

  30. Dont be surprise, maximum away end in France is about 600 fans, they always ban or give small amount of ticket, it’s been like this for years, What Liverpool fan faced, french football fan face this every week end, and french government prefer to blam football fan instead of the police.

  31. I'm French, but I've been ashamed of my country for a long time. I have traveled a lot, I know London and when I compare other cities in the world and Paris, I am ashamed. I live in the provinces and I no longer want to go to Paris.
    Paris and to a lesser extent the rest of France has become the emigrant suburb of Europe. You were right about Brexit. For us it is too late, our country no longer exists. The soul of the French people no longer exists and it is neither a matter of bit color or religion. We no longer have a French soul, spirit or heart.

  35. Sky TV always set this up. I have seen this on Sky a few times. It is very concerning because they do enlist members of the police to intimidate. It is fake and certainly always anti-English (Jews hate them).

    Have you lost your money, your evening, your illusions? Could you have lost your life? The French government doesn't care, congratulates its police and invents lies.
    They won't apologize because you mean nothing to them.
    We are ashamed of them and sad for you.
