Either one of those QB’s would easily be the #1 overall pick this year. And they passed on both of them in favor of a corner. It was a enormous mistake.

27. Mike really saying “7 assets” as if holds weight. the highest value is this years 9th and 2nd round. Noah Fants value drops because his QB continues to be Lock. Next years 1 & 2 drop in value depending on the Broncos success. Shelby means more to Denver than he will to Seattle because he was such a presence to the locker room. So Mikes take on the value being too high because “7 assets” is weak when you break it down you realize it isn’t as much as you think it is.

Fant is bordering on a bust. Shelby is beloved by broncos country but he is easily replaced. Denver has significant cap space. Russ is younger than AAron, and he is cost controlled for 2 years. It’s a win for Denver.
