    Roman Abramovich is putting his money into Chelsea FC and they buy players NOT tanks or weapons. Chelsea FC is not making profits that can buy tanks and guns, nor is money at Chelsea FC being diverted to Putin.

    The Russians here in the UK pay more tax than an average Brit does in their lifetime.

    Roman Abramovich and the majority of the oligarchs got their power and companies during the entire break up of the Soviet Union from Boris Yeltsin Presidency of the new Russia.
    
    Putin was just in the background and had little power. These oligarchs have little influence on Putin, in fact they have to tread a fine line with Putin as their families are under Putin's control.
    
    Obviously some like Roman Abramovich keep their distance from Putin.
    
    Making these oligarchs as bad men, they are business men who have a bad President, a man who'll kill these oligarchs families for sport. If I was them I too would steer clear of Putin and his cronies.

15. Chelsea Football club should withdraw from playing until Ukraine is free and Putin's troops have gone back home. I cannot see a reason why British fans would want to be associated with Russian money. I can understand Mr Abramovich would like to help broker piece and that is good. However, until it's achieved he should just close the club and perhaps pay £100m to the Ukrainian Government in support of its defence of liberty and his denouncement of Putin's aggression. Mr Abrammovich enjoys the freedoms of UK law and could do more to protect those freedoms for people across Europe
