  1. My grandad was a footballer in the 30s and 40s, had vascular dementia when he died. My dad is convinced it was due to heading the big heavy leather footballs they used back then. I’m 100% with Chris on this. Action must be taken.

  2. Reason it's swept under the carpet is it's bad for business… The reality is the only way to significantly combat this problem would be to significantly alter the rules to "the beautiful game"….

  3. We can't "limit the amount of heading in games" cuz that would make such a drastic change to play styles. What happens to the careers of players who make a living off their crossing? What happens to the pros who's best attribute is their heading? What happens to corners?

  4. Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name. This calls for wisdom: let the one who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666. And the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who in its presence had done the signs by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped its image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur.

  5. I'm happy the FA has banned headers for under-10s. In my teens I remember once complaining about my head hurting from all the headers we were doing in a training session and my coach called me "soft" and teammates laughed. I never complained again – I went home that night and took some aspirin for the migraine. From then on I started taking all the corners and freekicks just so I didn't have to head the ball.

  6. Just ban heading in football. Sounds ridiculous I know, but maybe it could work? We all hated the back pass rule when that came in. Plus, football is meant to be played on the floor not in the clouds as Cloughy once said.

  7. Yes wet pre 2000 footballs were heavy but statins and aluminium cause dementia its all part of a plan to take houses from the elderly + have a google of flouride and IQ

  8. Respect to a real man for getting the message out there. Really hope that football gets behind this and actually makes the changes suggested.

  9. How is this even an issue its obvious that heading a ball repeatedly back in the day was a factor, so The PFA place a levy only say 1% on players wages. Then 10% of all agents fees, ringfence it for care for any player diagnosed with dementia, have clubs where they can meet and go to matches all stimulating. Its easy just needs the will.

  10. From a Rangers fan who usually wants to turn off wen Chris is on tv, 100% respect and agree with everything he says here.. Never seen him emotional before, clearly a matter close to his heart ♥

  11. I know it’s a sensitive topic but football can’t do everything for everybody, football can’t just cure cancer or anything, yes it can raise awareness but at the end of the day it’s a game for football and it’s a job

  12. What about boxers, rugby players , not even 1% of footballers get dementia so that just shows that even if they wasn’t a footballer they still might get dementia anyone can get dementia

  13. my dad passed in feb this year of dementia. but what makes footballers different from the man on the street??? why not campaign for dementia, period?! for starters, stop dishing out statins, and stop geoengineering
