Pogba is critiqued for being lazy but thats the point, his laziness off the ball is why its seen as he "cant" press…really its more a case of he DOESNT press. Its not some lack of fitness that means he cant keep pressing. Theres enough highlights of where he proves hes capable of it but due to other styles where hes adapted to sitting it more, his other qualities have been forgotten about. Its the same with fred, not making excuses for him cos by my standards he shouldnt even be in a utd shirt but he too can press (and does in fact so i dont understand garys argument in previous vid about him). Ppl assume because mcfred are a defensive sit-behind-the-ball duo that they dont press when its only half the duo (mctominay) that doesnt press. Defensive doesnt = sit in. Defensive midfielders press too…just deeper than attackers, like kante, verratti, ndidi ppl ignore freds work rate all because of the position he plays (eventho his workrate is better than most of uniteds more attacking midfielders). Fair enough im not going to argue with the fact a duo of matic and mctominay clearly dont press (in that situation its because they CANT- dont have the same fitness of other midfielders and in matic's case ofc age comes in) but as for the others all are fit enough to press and so should every footballer, its just too late for united to even try that when teams like liverpool and city have mastered it before them. Sitting deep letting them come at u is much better and as gary said the reason united didnt concede 1st half vs leicester. Theres enough quality up front to always get a goal, its conceding that is the problem so go for the safer option (sitting in).

Sacking Ole may solve some of the issues but not all of them.

    Think about it..after the season that Jose finished second, he wanted a top-quality centre back inborder to challenge City.what did he get ? Fred, Dalot and Lee Grant (third choice keeper) . While it's true that Man United have spent a LOT of money in the last half a dozen years but a lot of it has been wasted or not spent properly. For example, take the following signings … Bailly Rojo Lindelof Blind Schweinsteiger Schneiderlin Delay Di Maria James Lukaku Fellaini ? How many of them have been HUGE successes at United ? None…most of them have been moved on.. This is the issue..short-termism and a scatter gun approach has blighted the side and sacking a manager (4th in a decade) will not rectify that.
