  1. People who are saying he is out of touch for being willing to give up their money for his health is insane to me.

You can always make money, you can't get your health back.

  2. The comment section is full of salty washed up non-athlete complaining about these players getting paid Millions of dollars by billionaires for generating billions of dollars for them…..
Your bosses would pay you Millions to if you can get 20,000 people to pay hundreds of dollars to watch you work

  3. This is every labor oriented career. Tree cutting arborist is the most deadly of all trades. Construction workers ,military and even policing.
We all are slowly dieing a little each day and every wound from childhood up is going to cause chronic pain later on…

  4. U making millions of dollars buying luxury vehicles, jewelry etc but u don't have medical specialist retained knowing u play the most violent sport there is, this is a matter of common sense. It's baffling to me I'm broke and I see specialist if I question a medical assessment.

  5. My knees and back are in chronic pain and permanently messed up from years working construction, and I never made more than $30,000 in any year. NFL players who say the money isn't worth the physical liabilities may be a little out of touch with the economic realities that many millions of regular people face.

  6. These the same guys that were dogging players that were worried about long term effects of the shots they were coerced to take in 2021 now preaching caution? 😂

  7. Maybe that is just me, but i found this conversation to be a negative reflection on US healthcare/pharma as much as football. An ethical and effective system wouldn't have Florio and Simms coming out with half of what they do here. Be it medicine vs self-medicating with cannabis or judging a doctor's worth by the money they earn, the perspective is just a little werid. And even though teams have these large rosters, part of the problem is that guys aren't alwaysr allowed to actually heal in the first place. The season being comparatively short doesn't help, although it's culture too.

  8. Forgive me for not crying in sympathy for this guy who is making millions of dollars. There plenty of us working people who live with working in pain all day and don't make anything close to his money. As I understand it, even Mike Florio lives in pain from a bad back and his life revolves around just sitting in a chair and talking. Pain is common.

  9. If you don’t wanna play or you have injuries that severe, there is other players that will take your spot. But they want that bag of money…. If your worried about your health say you can’t play and let them cut you and go back to school. Players need to take responsibility on this also. It be like suing a drug dealer for something you kept taking. Players always want the playtime but once they get injured they should definitely not be worried about playtime. I have a bone disease so I understand pain I’ve broken over 250 bones. My body is shot… there is no way I’d keep riding a bike to keep breaking. However if I did keep riding it’s on me for not stopping. I feel for these players but some players play for 10 years with no injuries and the ones that do get injured need to walk away and not chase the bag of money…
