Shouldn't we presume that no tort has been committed until it's proven? And I'm not sure that Texas law has the "offer of judgment" procedure. 12. I'm willing to bet the Browns got the NFL position on this before making the deal. The NFL will not suspend him indefinitely unless he settles. If these cases take 5 years to get through the court system so be it. NFL would be forcing the Browns to just give this man $230 million for nothing. Gtfoh!
